The brief was to design a cardboard tray that could be worn by the Lancôme consultants in store so that they could offer free samples of a new product in small dramming bottles.
Designing a cardboard tray in itself was not a challenge, but Lancôme is a luxury brand so the tray had to have a luxury finish. It also had to be practical for wearing in store all day meant that we had to focus on a number of key points. Materials needed to be strong, lightweight and have a premium finish. We also came up with a bespoke strapping system so each tray provided maximum comfort and adjustability.

The trays gave the Lancôme consultants the opportunity to move away from counter in order to proactively seek out customers.
