Project Description
Jersey Boys Cardboard Theatre
THE BRIEF
Some last minute budget was found to promote the release of the much-hyped Jersey Boys film. What better way to spend it than using cardboard to bring inspiration to the flicks. The guys at the Picturehouse wanted something unusual that would create consumer interaction and brand engagement whilst having lots of fun!
OUR SOLUTION
We wanted to bring a 1950’s style US ‘smoky bar’ to Clapham. Over and above our layering of the key art to create 3m x 2m eye- catching standees, we decided to dress the whole cinema in as much cardboard as possible and threw in some original vinyl records for good measure. We dressed the bar with neon signage, created leather look panels around the front of bar and pillars and created a cardboard 1950’s style juke box – branded of course. We take our hat off to the guys working, as they really got into the part by dressing up in retro outfits! All this was designed, printed, produced and installed within four days.
RESULTS & WHAT THEY SAID
“I can’t take my eyes off of you” – we definitely heard that coming from the theatre and Frankie could have only been singing about our cardboard!
“Looks amazing. A huge thank you to everyone involved and for producing such great ideas in such a short space of time. The customers loved it!”
